Okay, so it’s without a doubt not the primary sandwich I ever made however THE FIRST one for the blog. It starts offevolved with the quality biscuits ever. Fluffy and buttery interior and crispy at the outdoor. What’s the secret? Love.

Sweet potato cheddar biscuits
Ingredients

  • 2 c all-motive flour
  • 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c butter cubed, 1 stick
  • 1/2 milk
  • 1 egg nicely overwhelmed
  • 1 c grated candy potato 1 small or 1/2 medium
  • half of c grated cheese cheddar or Mexican mixture
  • 4 Tbsp butter melted ( for brushing )

Instructions

  1. In a big mixing bowl, whisk together the dry elements ( flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt ).
  2. Add cubed butter and reduce it in with a pastry cutter or fork, until coarse crumbs form.
  3. Add grated candy potato and stir with a timber spoon. Add cheese and stir once more.
  4. In a small bowl, integrate milk and egg. Stir nicely.
  5. Add to dry components. Fold in gently till everything is moistened. Flour clumps are ok. DO NOT OVER-MIX!
  6. Transfer the dough onto a piece of parchment or freezer paper. Gently shape into a disk and wrap tightly. Refrigerate at the least 1 hour or preferably overnight.
  7. When geared up to bake, preheat your oven to 425 levels Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set apart.
  8. Unwrap the dough. Flour a biscuit cutter and cut out as many biscuits as you can. Glue the scraps collectively without kneading the dough and cut out the rest of the biscuits. Transfer onto a coated baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter. You must have a few butter leftover. Set that apart.
  9. Bake biscuits for 15 - 18 minutes, or till the tops are golden brown.
  10. Brush the baked biscuits with the relaxation of the butter right after pulling them out of the oven.
